Is there a script or plugin for gimp that does the same thing as PS 'crop and straighten photos' to separate multiple photos from one scan?

Is this still for Gimp 2.10 ? Have you tried the old(ancient) DivideScannedImages script + deskew
https://github.com/FrancoisMalan/DivideScannedImages I have just tried in Win10 Gimp 2.10.38 and still works more-or-less. Deskew not so good with the script but does work on its own

Rich, thanks for the link. I'll give it a try. I'm currently using Gimp 2.10. 38 (lots of tools - scripts and plugins) and I'm using Gimp 3.02-1 to explore its capabilities. This version is still a bit limited compared to the luxury that 2.10. 38 offers (which has been built up over the years).
This a 50 second demo. https://i.imgur.com/AGOjpSz.mp4 It is just a single scan as an example, there is a batch option.
If it is what you are looking for: Any problems, deskew.exe for example is 32 bit but works in Windows, then I have other versions in my archive. edit: Just had a re-look at the link and deskew download not working, it is 2013 so not surprising. Attached both scm and deskew.exe - Unzip, All in your user profile .scm goes in scripts and .exe goes plug-ins.
The plugin works (thanks for the video).
