thanx, Ofnuts. I'm using a Windows 11 Laptop. I'm trying to get rid of text and one option is to use the Clone tool. How do I revert back to a regular cursor if I don't like the results? I usually close out of Gimp and then try another option, but if the results are not what is anticipated, how does one 'clear' the cursor to start over?
There is no "regular cursor" in Gimp. The pointer always corresponds to the active tool (this is the brush shape if the tool uses a brush: brush, pencil, erase, clone...) and there is always an active tool. So you cannot revert to some arrow pointer because there is no such thing. If you want a pointer that will never alter the image use the Measure tool.
