sg-fit-face.scm with gimp 2.10.24 ?
#1
Who has a working version of the sg-fit-face.scm script for gimp 2.10.24 ? I download it and put it in the script directory. The script appear in the gimp layer menu but nothing seems to happen if I click on it. I've made a path on each of two different layers as the script needed to work with. Thanks in advance for the answer.

A blast from the past. Now there is  the Gimp 2.10 unified transform tool that script is a bit redundant.

However, a quick animation: https://i.imgur.com/TfbPKjN.mp4

I showed the source just for the record, not necessary.
Tacked a bit on the end showing gmic blend seamless to improve the change. That did require adjusting the layers to the canvas size.

Rich, thank you for the quick reply. I see it work for you, so I'll try it out. I want to use it for quick copy and place items that are hidden in one photo and visible in another but taken with different minor distances. And, I must say, visiting a hairdresser can make a difference...   Wink

Rich2005, from what I saw in your video, this does exactly the same as the plugin ofn-layer-aligner.py (Realing) does. Or would there be a difference?

Yes, I tried layer-aligner.py as well with mixed results, also ob-align.py also mixed results. Just try and see if you get a decent result. Going by your other posts on deforming Clock faces, probably not, Saul Goodes script is a simple scale and rotate.

This the path for of-align.

ob-align.py + paths still working, maybe finished by midnight.

Using Tim's Random Face plugin with ofn-layer-aligner.py (Realing) and [G'MIC] Blend [Seamless]: you can create your own Frankstein:
Faces that don't exist, generating new faces that don't exist.
