None of them will work in 2.99. The new version completely breaks Python (new interface, new Python version). So that would be a different version. And for the time being the Python interface is still missing important things and in too much a state of flux to bother.

In the long run yes, but I have over 100 plugins... But why jump on Gimp 2.99? 2.10 won't cease working and will be a viable option for quite some time.
