Character eyebrow replacement
#1
Hello everyone!

I have a request to manipulate a frontal image of a female face. The image originated from another image taken from a very old black and white photo with many flaws. Using Gemini's artificial intelligence, I managed to restore the flaws and colorize the image. Then, I did some processing in GIMP, using Curves and Dodge & Burst. It turns out that the character's eyebrows are very different sizes, and I was asked to make them the same size. I thought of doing the following:
1. Select the left eyebrow
2. Create a layer with this eyebrow
3. Invert horizontally
4. Replace the right one with this one.
I don't know if this will work, so if anyone has experience or any suggestions on how to solve this problem, I would appreciate it.

The problem is that any shadows from a side light will be in the wrong direction. Otherwise, if the light is about from behind the camera, you will probably have to use the Unified Transform tool to do the necessary tilt and perspective adjustments. But keep in mind that we are very sensitive to facial expressions a couple of pixels in the wrong direction and this can totally change the picture.

Select half of the face, copy this to a new layer and flip the half face horizontal. Use the eraser tool to erase parts of the half face that you don't need. Set the hardness and the force of the brush to 75 or less so it blend nice with the full face. Correct the colour / brightness. That's how I should do it.

Hello everyone!
I managed to do it and I think it wasn't bad, at least the client liked the result. I used the following procedure:
1. I removed the previous eyebrow using heal selection
2. I selected the other eyebrow using the free selection tool (F)
3. Select => fade
4. Edit > Copy
5. I pasted it onto a separate layer: Ctrl+Shift+V
6. I flipped the eyebrow with the mirror tool (shift+f)
7. I moved the eyebrow to the target location.

The top image is the final one and the bottom one is the initial one

IMHO much too long, the eyebrow goes all the way to the temple.

Good morning!

I also thought that's what you said, but the client wants it this way. She asked for it to be this size because she'll be inserting the magnets in the area. She asked for both to be the size of her right eyebrow.
