some fonts not displaying properly
#1
I noticed that some fonts that used to be okay are no longer displaying properly and sometimes when I select a font, any font including the 3 listed below, they just don't work. I'm using 2.10.12.
Bitstream
Century Schoolbook
Courier

are the one I notice. they display with binaries? e.g. the word 'cot' in CS is written 0063,006F, 0074.

All those fonts are fine when I open other apps like Libre Office.

How can I resolve this, please?

Is this your PClinuxOS installation?

Those fonts that show code page symbols like this: https://i.imgur.com/QPANE00.jpg are system fonts.

Find them in the system like this. https://i.imgur.com/P5xAYRM.jpg Postscript fonts.

Not much you can do, it will be an updated library problem somewhere. Needs to be reported to http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/

As a stop-gap if you can find replacement ttf fonts and add to the Gimp fonts folder the fonts list doubles up, but the font does show. https://i.imgur.com/FNidpOV.jpg

Not the way to do it, pclos gimp needs fixing.
