		Crop or scale? Crop would remove part of your picture and scale you would keep all of it. If cropping there are two ways (that I know of). The way denzjos showed you or you could rectangle select the area you want and go to the top menu that says 'Image' and crop to selection.

From your video comments, one problem is that the cropped pixels remain. In the crop tool options, there is a check box for "remove cropped pixels" , enable that. Set the "format" to fixed size and 1280x720. In your image, click in the canvas to enable the crop tool, click-and-drag into position, hit the enter key to fix.
