I have windows 11. I open Gimp 3.04 and try to open an image then gimp closes, I have uninstalled and removed everything and reinstalled but the same thing happens time and time again

Same as your other post: It might be a regional problem: see: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/12626

...and because it is a very long convoluted conversion, this from one user.

I set my regional format setting from norwegian bokmål to english.
1, preview a png file in open dialog. Bokmål: crash. English: success.
1, export a png file. Bokmål: crash. English: success.

Worth a try to change the region setting and see if it makes a difference.
