#1
Hi guys, im relatively new to GiMP but I used it to make a livery on iRacing which uses .pcd files. Without reason GiMP uninstalled itself and now when I go to make a livery, it doesnt work and tells me i cant edit the pixels? Please help, im so confused...

New-ish to Gimp ? What version are / have you been using ?

For .pcd format - there are a number of programs that use the .pcd file suffix - point cloud data / Kodak photo disk (as this https://www.gimpusers.com/forums/gimp-us...2-2-or-2-4 )

..and I do not suppose either of those apply.

A quick search and:
"Popular choices for painting iRacing liveries include Adobe Photoshop, GIMP, and Photopea." Which probably implies Photoshop .psd format.

The other problem is OSX Has it updated itself and dumb security is blocking your work ? I do not know, I do not use OSX.

Gimp doesn't uninstall itself. Something else uninstalled it.

What is the actual error message? Can you post a screenshot?

I figured it out, I had to select what I wanted to paint first lmao. Sorry, about that
