Enlever un reflet de flash sur photo macro

Bonjour,

Je suis bloqué sur un problème de réflexion de flash sur l'insecte que j'ai pris en photo de nuit. Y'a t il un moyen d'adoucir ce reflet ?

J'ai essayer avec l'outil sélection sans pour autant réussir à ne sélectionner uniquement la partie souhaiter. 

Les tutos que j'ai pu chercher ne donne pas la marche à suivre spécifique pour mon problème 

Le premier screenshot vous montre la photo retouché avec les connaissances que j'ai (je n'ai pas pu faire mieux) et le second screenshot montre la photo originale.

J'utilise la version 3.2.4 de GIMP sous windows 10.

Hello,

I'm stuck on a problem with a flash reflection on the insect I photographed at night. Is there a way to soften this reflection?

I tried using the selection tool but wasn't able to select just the part I wanted. 

The tutorials I’ve found don’t provide specific instructions for my problem.

The first screenshot shows the photo I’ve edited using what I know (I couldn’t do any better), and the second screenshot shows the original photo.

I’m using GIMP version 3.2.4 on Windows 10.

Cant make my mind up as to best way - not a great result so far.

I experimented a bit with GIMP, but the result was disappointing. I looked for a solution on Google (using the search term 'Remove Glare from Photo with AI'); the result was good, but the entire photo remained very dark. I opened the AI-edited photo in GIMP and placed the original photo as a new layer above the AI layer to restore details lost during the AI processing. I set the opacity of this layer to 40%, created a new layer (using the 'New from Visible' option), copied this new layer, and set the layer mode to 'Screen'. Since the glare became visible again, I used the 'Eraser' to remove those parts from the new layer (making them transparent). I repeated this last step a few times to brighten the photo to a normal level of brightness. You can brighten the dark areas even further using the same method.

This is best I could do relatively quickly using just Gimp tools.

Really is best to extract the beetle from the background.

Duplicated, layer mask on top, Paint in mask to show under.
Layer under darkened with colour curves
Background lightened with colour curves.
Small high-lights blurred with the smudge tool.
