to give the dots some various (different) blue tones: how to approach?

i need to give the dots some various (different) blue tones. 

well how would you start this approach!?

Assuming you want blues but different blues. What I did was I selected the white first with the fuzzy select tool (magic wand). Invert your selection so only the dots and lines get coloured. Then add a Jade/blue layer and use the burn layer mode. Merge and this is what you will get. You can add any type of blue layer and since the dots are already different darkness/lightnesses you should get different tones.

   

Tried it with a different colour, ok but only use Burn for stronger colours (not linear burn) or overlay/softlight for softer colours
