Strange one, I can get it to work in Windows but not a linux appimage.
You can initially get the curve points from the Gimp curves tool, (then close it) I do not know how many you can add with Batcher, you will have to try-and-discover.
Look for gimp-drawable-curves-spline and in this example, 8 points , fairly obvious.
