I've just posted the xcf, if you care to take a look.

A different way applicable to your image. You do not actually have to replicate the blur effect although knowing how to get this effect is good.

You have the stars on individual layers, which is good, you can adjust individually, scale, move etc. Would be better (next time) if the background colour was not there.

1. First work on individual layers.

2. Remove the background from these small layers (5c1969) using Colours -> Color to Alpha

3. That gives something like this: https://i.imgur.com/uQoS9Ll.jpg

4. For a new color. Enable the layer Alpha Lock, top of the layers dialogue. Set the foreground color and fill the layer. An easy way is click and drag from the FG swatch: https://i.imgur.com/r9yEIQk.jpg

5. Repeat for each layer in turn. Color-to-alpha / alpha lock / set FG colour / fill.

Should get you to here: [Image: IFf2hrn.jpg]

edit: hmm... been practising with paths ... Wink

I know this is very, very late, but after getting life out of the way, I need to say this:

Thank you very much for your help. This is exactly what I needed. Thank you.
