change everything NOT black to another color

Using Gimp 3 ? (must have a time machine )

Not automatic and always depends on the image...but...

Colors -> Threshold and a bit of adjustment with the slider should give a pure black & white image



Change white to something else Colors -> Map -> Color Exchange select the "To Color"
