RE: Wacom tablet with Gimp?
#2
Nate, I'm very productive using these WACOM products with GIMP:
1. Intuos 4, model PTK-640, used at the desktop. Best professional tablet in my opinion.
2. The now very ancient Cintiq model DTZ W1200, used with Lenovo T61 at drawing table.
3. Very portable and wireless INTUOS pen & touch model CTH-480/S, used while on road.

I turn all the touch features off and decided that touch screens just will not work for me.
GIMP and the tablets can't tell the difference between touching or drawing. All sorts of unwanted things start to happen.
I've also discovered that turning off the laptop touch pads reduces other strange unwanted voo-doo GIMP activity.
