The best learn curve is to use the Gimp standard tools but if you have the G'Mic Qt plugin then you can use :

G'Mic Qt / Artistic / Pen Drawing (value 20)
Colours / Levels / move mid (grey) slider to the right

Or if yoy want a small formed text :

Q'Mic Qt / Repair / Smooth[Anisotropic] (see values on screendump)
Color / Levels / move mid (grey) slider to the right (clamp input 0,45)
