Normally, plugin processes are removed once the plugin is done so these icons should not stay around.
Do you have any way to display the process tree and check what child processes of Gimp are still accounted for?
Thanks for your reply. To be honest, wouldn't know where to look for the process tree. Did find this though, is this what you were meaning? Or is there somewhere else I can look?
