I would never advise anyone to use M$ Windows, neither would I advise MacO$, maybe one of the linux distros
Since you are happy with your computer, is it possible to install a Virtual Machine ? There is a VirtualBox OSX package, https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads If it works, then install an easy to use linux in it, such as linux mint.
Just a suggestion.
