In them you will find the link to the Indexed Decomposed script, you will know another way to separate images, and you will see an example of a template.
The IndexedDecomposed script basically converts the image to Indexed mode, limits the final number of colors in the image and separates them by layers and automatically returns the image to RGB mode.
