Microsoft ICE like stitching
#6
A Blender texture ? Probably more than just a simple answer required.  How many rows and columns of images ?

Nothing like MS ICE for Gimp. As previous post there is Hugin, but more aimed at stitching a scenic view rather than a texture. Might not be suitable for a 'flat' image.

For Gimp there is:

Pandora: https://shallowsky.com/software/pandora/

..and an example I did way back in Gimp 2.8 https://youtu.be/zBma6CT3mjY Over long (6 mins) but it does give some tips on use. Up to the user to rotate / scale / adjust hue - very hands on.

StitchPanorama https://stitchpanorama.sourceforge.net/

Never really used this, works with pairs of images at a time.

...and a non-Gimp program nip2 https://github.com/libvips/nip2

I sometimes use this to stitch geographic maps together, not so easy to use.

Just a comment, for 3D textures there is usually more involved than just a single image, there are associated normal maps  etc. Any clues as to the images you are combining ?

Edit: Only just see your image of a wood texture, Making really good seamless texture is a bit of a dark art. The attached straight out of resynthesier plugin with make tile-able set.

It is seamless but not perfect a there is a obvious repeating section if you fill a large canvas.
