I can start you off, should work in XP although you "takes-your-chance"
Go here http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=...50#p211026 and download the custom_font.scm script.
That goes in C:\Documents and Settings\"yourname"\.gimp-2.8\scripts.
A couple of pages further on are some of the font files. http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=...80#p230061 These are multi-layer Gimp xcf files with one character per layer.
