Export as PDF: Suddenly Markup Is Lost
#3
Is the text supposed to have a drop shadow ?

When you exported to PDF is the text(s) on a separate text layer to (background) graphic ?

There is a problem with Gimp / text layers / PDF While Gimp tries to embed the text metric (the ttf / otf information), it does not work. When the font is not available on the computer a default substitute is made.

The cure for that is keep a working copy (as Gimp .xcf) and flatten the image before exporting. Then it is What You See Is What You Get. (see Ofnuts reply)

As an aside, this using Scribus and that 10.4325" x 8.5" (-ish got margins wrong) format. Not fully filled in but as an example. A graphic, a vector title from an Inkscape svg, and regular text (arial) total size 2.7 MB The Gimp PDF for that is 4.7 MB. https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=...WfWHgaGxKV
