pspi.exe must have worked with impressionist.8bf sometime. I have it in my archive with some Gimp 2.8 settings, however I cannot get impressionist.8bf to show in Win10 / Gimp 2.10
If you want to use it I recommend using IrfanView (freeware - search for it) where it does work. You can always finish off with Gimp. This running 64 bit IrfanView in linux with WINE. Should work even better in Windows. https://i.imgur.com/HAlbuV9.jpg

Thank you rich2005, I will look into all of these more. I hope another old filter I have, Super Blade Pro will work otherwise I need to reinstall Paint Shop Pro X2 for it works on that, maybe Impressionist also. I have Affinity installed but also here are problems reading older filters, etc. But this tool removing fireflies, etc are great in GIMP for postwork, etc.
