A selection of old spoof-logos and parody-clippy-art-stuff
#1
Hi all, I don't get enough time to play on my computer these days, but i was looking at some of my old parody art stuff from back in 2019-2021, and i decided i'd like to post a selection of it here - all made in GIMP.

Well, maybe you think some if it is crummy, and you would be correct. I definitely put more effort into some than others, and there was also a learning experience going on over the course of things. So, it is what it is, i guess, though i did try to cut out some of really bad pics i didn't feel like stood the test of time(last 5 years). So ask me some questions if you are curious about any of them, and maybe i'll help you understand where i was coming from when i made it. Or maybe i will be AFK - sry.

Anyway, Enjoy the GrAphiC aRT! (ノಥ益ಥ)ノ ┻━┻

...I'm feeling lazy so i'm posting to imgbox & postimg:

apparently it is too many images to embed in a single post, so i'll just leave it at that.

I forgot imgbox and postimg both support larger file sizes so here(actually some pics are still downsized a little - i'm not sure why i made them so large):

p.s. can anyone recommend another good image sharing site?

There is more, I had a chance to play around with ofn-bend-path script. BTW, you have to make a folder for scripts and plug-ins in /Users/*yourself*/Library/Application Support/GIMP/2.10/ on mac.

I discovered bend path will not do spirals, and subsequently had some fun trying to figure out a work around, with limited success:

.webp   spiral-bend-didntwork-1920.webp (Size: 29.58 KB / Downloads: 63)

.webp   wonka-bend-1920.webp (Size: 122.64 KB / Downloads: 63)

...btw, is anyone else watching the Election Science Center(https://electionscience.org/) and wondering why all the shuffling of leadership in recent years? Or why the choice of the acronym "CES"; the name was already taken(https://www.ces.tech/). Also, isn't DEI sort of beside the point in regard to the original mission?

Anyway, i think that will be all for now. I'm glad to finally have a small success getting scripts/plugins working in GIMP. I haven't written any python since college, but maybe i will give it a go some time soon.

Last thing, don't take immunosuppressants just because your doctor tells you to(corticosteroids to be exact - i hope i get over this lingering bad feeling, though i guess i was already sort of sick to begin with... ...pill culture isn't very inspiring, and doing graphic art is too sedentary to be good for my health either...).

That is all.

Well, i said i was done, but then i did it again. After getting stung by bees like a hundred times on my ankles a few days ago, i've been hiding out indoors taking Benadryl and playing computer games, and one thing led to another, and well here it is:

Crypto Kool-Aid

and here are the links on my current favorite image hosts:
https://imgbox.com/polYluJB

p.s. In case it was still too vague before, the steroid in question was Methylprednisolone. It has been a long last 6 months. Maybe i am finally starting to feel better now.

I'm very impressed by the latest scripting post from Ofnuts. I'm not sure when i'll find the time to brush up on my python, but i am looking forward to the day. Any chance we can see that latest script itself. Or I would appreciate some links to documentation. I don't seem to be able to find it, and so for the time being i've sort of been limited to just trying to reverse engineer what scripts i have found out there. Anyway, maybe i'll get around to looking more into it. when i do, i'll probably post something here.

...And in case it wasn't clear. You're not supposed to drink the Kool-Aid! Wink

...oh yeah, btw, I'm a a beekeeper on the side. I was stung by my own bees. It's actually pretty normal for this time of year.

I wasn't planning to do any more new graphic art any time soon, but i just got a gnawing feeling this afternoon while trying to catch up on all my various other projects, and in the end i couldn't resist, so here it is. It is not my best work, though art doesn't always have to look good, so there.

Anyway, i feel like i should preface the art with some headlines so here goes:

So The Trump Administration has begun to raid wrong houses of innocent Americans and confiscate their property(phones, computers and cash):

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino/us-c...rcna203700

That is in addition to deporting American citizens to latin-american countries:

https://edition.cnn.com/2025/05/03/polit...ation-push

And also falsely deporting innocent non-citizens to prison in El Salvador:

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/poli...155989007/

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...us-tattoos

https://www.keranews.org/immigration/202...ess-tattoo

Don't forget all the shenanigans with tanking the economy and starting a trade war, the list goes on.

And on top of that Big Tech still sucks and everything else that was already broken with society is still broken.

Anyway, I noticed a little issue with my KoolAid pic while i was looking through some old image folders, and so here is version 2:

And here is my little Trump protest graphic. Perhaps it is a bit tame given the circumstances, and i'm not really and expert on Wojak, but I'm hoping it captures basically how i feel about people who support him. Basically i guess i'm saying that Wojak is running the country(and enriching himself at our detriment). IDK, maybe you like Wojak? I'd say it is a free country and that is your prerogative, but i'm sort of second guessing that now.

I thought about leaving the country, and I actually coincidentally just renewed my passport shortly before the last election, but realistically i just simply have too much unfinished stuff i'm working on around here, and it would be impossible for me to get away and go anywhere at this point. I guess i'm just going to hold out here until midterms and we will see what happens. XD

Actually, I have started a blog this Spring, and perhaps my health is finally improving(maybe). Among other things, i've made some much needed progress on some home repairs; actually it's an office, though it looks like my sister will be coming to live with us for awhile, so i may end up sleeping down there(again). Also, i've been continuing to work on expanding on the farm business, and i finally have a somewhat functioning greenhouse. Here are a couple posts about all this:

https://trygve.neocities.org/blog/2025-0...lspace-job

https://trygve.neocities.org/blog/2025-0...and-garden

So, finally, here are a couple more wojaks. I actually got a little frustrated with the layers at first and was almost thinking it wasn't worth the time, but then i figured it out. I'm talking about the pot of coins. maybe you like crypto? i think it is all crypot.

That is it for now.

I thought maybe the KoolAid was still too jarring in rgb, so i made a traced version in black and white:

Also, here is a stencil:

This is all basic stuff, and i welcome anyone to print/repost their own with/without modification. Perhaps i'll get there at some point, though right now i'm still trying to find my way after having a some of my graphics taken down off redbubble a few years back by a false DMCA complaint. Basically at this point I have sort of given up on online print-shops in general, and have been looking into diy print options from time to time, though i still have a long way to go before i make anything of professional quality. I'm mainly talking about stickers and apparel. Any recommendations?
