Can I Change Default Appearance?
#1
I just downloaded and set up 2.10.2 on this machine and the appearance was all this modern trendy black screen with white letters.  No good to me.

Found the way to change it to 'grey' or 'white' and chose white.

That's about 75% okay.  All the tool  icons are too faint to see without straining.

Can I somehow switch back to the old fashioned appearance?

There is a theme called "System" that looks more like your previous Gimp. Icons have their own theme, and there are "Color" and "Legacy" ones. And the theme allows to pick an icon size.

Yep, system's what I'm using now.  I went back and tried all.  It didn't fix the icons, as you know. Thanks for the tip, I'll go find the icon theme thing...
