Corel PhotoPaint -like Script/macro Recorder
#1
I'm coming back to the Gimp after about 10 years of using CorelDraw and I am so impressed with what I'm finding here now!
There is one feature of Corel PhotoPaint that I loved and used a lot and I can't find anything like it here or among plugins. It's the Macro recorder. (see attached) It allowed me to click a record button, go through a sequence of actions such as placing a signature on a photograph and then save that script / macro and simply play it again on a series of other images. Can anyone point me in the right direction in finding such a thing for the Gimp?

Gimp does not have a macro-recorder. Plenty of request for one but as yet nothing even on the horizon.

The usual reply from the Gimp developers is, write a script which at the moment means either script-fu or python

Thanks! Pity, because it kind of stymies my attempt to leave CorelDraw behind. Writing a Python script from scratch is beyond me.

Is a place where one can add a vote to a feature request?
