Ctrl+shift to snap drawing tool to angle not working?
#1
I find suddenly that I am unable to get my brush tool to snap to an angle with ctrl+shift. Is there a setting that may have been changed while I was unaware? The tip still says I should be able to do it, but I cannot. Shift to draw a straight line is still functional. What am I missing?

Also(while I'm here), somehow my tools got grouped up instead of being displayed individually in the toolbox. It's not the end of the world, but is kind of awful. Is there any way to change it back?

Thanks for any help!

I am having the same issue with brush not snapping to constraints.

For the tools, go to preferences->toolbox->uncheck 'use tool groups'

Also, If you are using some Linux system (and maybe Windows also) be careful about using filters that result in an expansion beyond the canvas.  This will corrupt your file when you save it.

@nomad380

The constrained angle is applied after positioning the line instead of as the line is drawn.
example: (ah...same as above) https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-Gimp-2...2#pid16922

Why? Do not know. The measure tool works as before, so it is probably a bug.

Thanks! Losing a save would be pretty crushing.

It's definitely as you've described. It applies the constraint after drawing. Unfortunate to have to eyeball with it.

I appreciate the help.

I did report the constraint line drawing problem and the devs already aware of it and will be fixed in Gimp 2.10.18

Thanks for reporting it! I wonder how long it will be before 2.10.18 comes out?
