Erase Every Other Line is not one of the Distorts filters offered in my GIMP 2.10.
How may I gain this filter?

Still there, just hidden.
Hit the / key. This brings up a small search pop-up. Type 'erase' and there it is.

Nice to know of that menu, but I don't see "Erase Every Other Line" there, only Eraser. Is there another way to find it?
spoke too soon. when there is something to erase, the erase every other line appeared in that menu. Please excuse. And thank you.

Six years later than above, now using GIMP 3.04,
I do not find access to Tools > Distorts > Erase Every Other Line. Where is it now? Not in / menu Not in Eraser, that I see. Can you help? Maye it was a script you added? In any case, it is easily replaced by adding a layer mask and filling it with a grid.
From my copy of Gimp 2.10 - fortunately it is script-fu and only a couple of syntax fix for Gimp 3 (although the usual rules apply - no guarantee )
Download - put in your user scripts folder - registers in Filters -> Distorts -> Erase Every Other Row This one ?
I cannot find it anywhere, even in GMIC and I'm sure I had it.
Closest thing to it in distort is engrave I was able to do it with a grid and mask though. ![]()
