Gimp 2.10(.26) .28
#1
Gimp 2.10.26 released, at least the code is there: https://download.gimp.org/mirror/pub/gimp/v2.10/

Using the Gimp 2.10  flatpak, that is already built, do a flatpak update

Other packages ? It is wait and see. I do not suppose an appimage is coming so probably for 'buntu / Mint users keep an eye on https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuhandbook1/+...buntu/gimp

As far as I can tell from the developers log, it is mainly bug-fixes.

In Windows, I download the installer from the main website. On Ubuntu, I am relying on the AppImage.

If this throw-away comment is anything to go by, I'd steer clear of 2.10.26 : https://twitter.com/GIMP_Official/status...1554801666

Um... Today I did something stupid, it was around a month now that I did not launch the software updater, so I decided to update my system, and yes GIMP was included (ubuntuhandbook1), I saw GIMP in the list, I knew that GIMP 2.10.26 introduced a bug, and yes I updated it...

Everything seems fine, but for sure the future will tell at which level of stupidity I am. Big Grin

No backups ? Wink

It might not be a disaster, this bug-report has just been closed: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/7220 and the bug is in the dark theme.

What has changed ? https://raw.githubusercontent.com/GNOME/...-2-10/NEWS
Some improvements to DDS and TIFF filetypes - not so much for anyone wanting to remain on 2.10.24 (or the appimage)

...and anyway, it looks like 2.10.28 will be along soon

Nope... No backup (does the appimage count as a backup? Big Grin )
Anyway, I got a good level of stupidity, because when I saw the update, my finger wanted to click to un-tick GIMP, but my remaining neuron did not want Big Grin

Thanks for the news about the closed bug (I use only the grey theme, though), but I feel better now Wink

How many times does that happen, the "why did I do that" feeling. Wink

...anyway as the devs promised the 2.10.28 code is out.
