GimpChat out?
#1
It seems they forgot to renew the name... *makes mental note to check how long before gimp-forum.net goes the same way*

down,down,down...

Within 3-14 days after a domain name expires.
The domain name will be removed from the name servers (DNS).
This will interrupt any services such as Email,
Website hosting,
or URL Forwarding.
For certain registries,
approximately 30 days after the domain name expires it will enter into a redemption period,
approximately 30 days.
During the redemption period,
you can still renew your domain name,
but there is an additional redemption fee,
which includes a one year renewal.
If the domain name is not redeemed during the redemption period,
the domain name will be deleted by the registry and made available for registration.

better to create a new site ! Omega is the last letter of greek alphabet, so he seems to represent the end of Gimp-chat!

What a pity. Seems to be going the same way as the old gimpforums.com. Years of useful info will be lost.

The server is not dead. If you know the IP address you can still use it Smile

I am going to try and get in touch with Tux via GimpScripts and see if HE can get in touch with Omega as he knows him. Hopefully he will turn the site domain over to the Gimp Chat Admins. If he wants cash i will pay for it.

You can also get thru the site via the web archive wayback machine i believe.
