How do I rotate without losing the ends of the image?
#1
I wanted to use this specific piece of an image:

I wanted that streak of light to be VERTICAL, though, so I rotated the image, and got:

As you can see, the uppermost and lowermost bits of the image are missing. How can I rotate an image and end up with the ENTIRE image after it’s done?

Increase the canvas size.

In the menu thats under 'Image -> Canvas Size'.

That helped, it added back the missing bottom piece, BUT no matter how much extra height I gave it, it doesn't bring back the missing TOP piece:

The layer is clipped to the canvas size.
You can move the layer with the move tool, or align it inside the increase canvas size dialogue.
