How to add double headed arrows + text
#1
I have an image.
I want to add double headed arrows.
How should I best do this?

I then need to add text.
The text should line up on the same slant as the double headed arrow.
How should I add the text? Is there someway of connecting to the line, so if the line is moved about and rotated the text gets rotated?

Thanks.
OS: Windows 10
Gimp Ver: 2.10.2

You can:
  • define the shaft of the arrow as a path
  • use my path-arrow-heads script to add arrow heads to it
  • use my ofn-text-along-path to create text that follows the shaft
  • Edit>Stroke the path (or make a selection and bucket-fill)
... it it looks lore like a job for a schema drawing program (LibreOffice Draw, or else....)

Another way, using a script for the arrow. Script is here: https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-Arrow-Script

IMHO best in a layer group.
