Is it me or is justify:filled non-functional in the Text tool of 2.10.14?

As title says.

Can't get a "filled" text (tried with Fixed and Dynamic box sizes), the "Filled" icon does the same thing as left-justified. I would report a bug but I want to make sure I'm not missing something obvious.

@Ofnuts - not just you.
I get the same results, filled same as left justify using kubuntu 18.04 / Gimp 2.10.14
but
netbook xubuntu 18.04 Gimp 2.8.22 same result, so not just Gimp 2.10
and
desktop machine running PClinuxOS (rpm) Gimp 2.10.14 same result so not just debian based.

OK, so it was me, eventually made it to work. I think I had different expectations...

...then how does it work? What am I missing? What is going wrong? Am I going mad? Been watching too many TV adverts

OK, one long line of text, fixed text box.

  1. It won't add space between letters, only between words
  2. You have to type a continuous line (no LF) and it will reflow/reformat the text to fit within the width of the box when the box becomes "fixed" (implicitly because you resize, or explicitly in the Tool options).
