(SOLVED) Warped images will not save or export
#1
I am using Gimp 2.10, My system is PCLinuxOS with all the latest updates. Gimp is in Synaptic and all I had to do to install is to check off the program and the mods I wanted to have.
OK, When I modify an image with the "Warp" tool I cannot get the image to save or export the way I modified it. The image reverts back to its original pattern before I used the Warp tool. This is confusing I know. I'll try to explain better. I can take a regular image and use the Warp tool with any of its functions and it will work just fine, but as soon as I hit Save or Save as or export or export as or overwrite the image goes back to the way it was and does not save the warp modification. What am I doing wrong? Please help. Thanks in advance any suggestions you may have.

As it happens I have PCLOS and Gimp 2.10.6 on my desktop computer.

Using the new Warp tool - this one? https://i.imgur.com/6sdxzoV.jpg

Many of the new tools require confirmation that using the tool is complete. Hit the enter key to confirm the changes. Another way is choose another tool.

Several of the tools work this way, the one that catches most out is the free select tool.
