Shortcut for "Path from Text"
#1
Hello,
I use GIMP in a fairly limited way, but one item that I use all the time and would like to code into a few macros is the "Path from text" option.  I can't seem to find anywhere in GIMP where there is a shortcut for this, and am having difficulty creating my own.

I tried creating a shortcut by enabling dynamic keyboard shortcuts in the interface section of the preferences and using ctrl + alt + p while hovering over the option, but it doesn't seem to allow creating shortcuts this way for items in the right click menu.  I also can't find the "path from text" option in the "configure keyboard shortcuts" menu.

Is this just not an option, or am I missing something ridiculously simple?

Not "path from text", but "text to path"

Just a reminder, Gimp does not have a macro recorder as such, the keyboard shortcuts are just that. If you can get to work with some external keystroke application - good for you.

Easiest way, enter Layers as a search term and look for Text to Path very near the bottom of the list.

Use Edit -> Keyboard Shortcuts  Click in disabled and press all three keys at the same time.

Works here Win 10 (VM) Gimp 2.10.10

Using "path" as a search term has a much shorter listSmile
