new plugin colour grading for gimp 3
#1
https://www.chuckhenrich.com/colour-grad...e-plug-in/

I tried the plugin with gimp 3.2.4/ windows 11. I placed the unzipped folder in the right gimp 3 plugins folder and startet gimp 3.2.4. I can not see/find the plugin in the menu 'Layer / Mask'. I cannot send a message to the author because the email is being declined. Someone tried this plugin?

I found the plugin under 'Colours' not Layer / Mask as mentioned.

Just seen your update. I did find it a bit flaky: Win11 / Gimp 3.2.4 Worked once then did not work. I did get a "seems to work each time" when I made a C:\gimp-plugins\ folder and added that to the plug-ins paths and put the plugin there.

However, MrQ has a mod here: https://discuss.pixls.us/t/colour-gradin...2/57335/14 that going by the comments, helps.

rich, thanks for the link. Now I installed 'Color Grading' and 'Color Balance 2' from : https://sourceforge.net/projects/johnlakgimp/files/. Both work fine in Gimp 3.2.4 / windows 11

For linux kubuntu and Gimp 3.2.4

I tried chuckhenrich plugin a few days ago, and it worked. I see it has a small revision now.

Not so good for the johnlak plugins. The python scripts needed the shebang updating to #!/usr/bin/env python3 before they would register. The GEGL filter johnlakkas-levels-and-saturation.so compiles ok and does work stand-alone.

but...Color Grading not working. it has python errors, however Color Balance does work.

Interesting plug-ins.

Good to hear it's working for you now. Sorry about that bug! It's fixed now.

Please do flag any other issues, and if you have any suggestions let me know.

I did eventually get color_grading_cw_v191 working. It is picky about installation location. The regular Gimp 3.2 plugins folder required and I use a separate plugins_testing folder. I suppose you could edit the script for a different location. A nice little plugin.
