No, i didnt. But that does the trick !

Could you modify the script so that information comes up in the pop-up text ?

Btw, are you using a 32- or 64-bit version of Gimp?

Kevin was right, i meant the tool tip. Otherwise i know i will have forgotten about that detail in two weeks and will have to google the thread Smile

Cant tell you about 32 or 64 bit....
Im using 2.8.16...the information on the gimp site states it automatically chooses the appropiate one upon installiation, so im guessing its 64 bits ?

Updated the script. Automatic determination of the color to remove is back in, as an option. Yehed mad.

this gives me three 1px rows of semitransparent pixels, which looks wrong (bordereffect)

when i do it manually (fuzzy select, grow 1px, colour to alpha), it looks right (1px antialiasing)

Yes, your blue contains some red, so if it were not for the selection, the whole disk would turn a slightly transparent lighter blue. Since there is a clean border and I play it safe and grow the selection by 2 pixels there is a 1px extra bit which is affected. So, three options:

* Consider your case a bit pathological and keep the 2px margin
* Go down to a 1px margin
* Make the margin width a clean border/dirty border option

A centime for your thoughts.

I dont really understand what you mean with "play it safe".
