| Problem installing Resynthesizer |

I'm trying to install Resynthesizer in GIMP 2.10.34 on OSX Ventura. It appears I'm running into a problem with the libintl library. I have libintl.8.dylib installed on my system, but not libintl.9.dylib, and it seems the latter is required. As a workaround (based on a web article), I tried creating a symlink (ln -s libintl.8.dylib libintl.9.dylib), but OSX reports "operation not permitted" (even with sudo).
Any suggestions on how to get Resynthesizer working? It sounds like a great package.
Thanks,
Eric

Is there any way to make a bucket fill color appear more opaque? I'm trying to make a section of painted steel look more realistic.
Thanks!

| Matching 2 Images (Layers) With Selected Points |

I have 2 images (maps). One is a scale image from Google Maps. The other is an historic map that is not to scale. There are certain points of reference on each map that can be used to pull the historic map close to scale and provide reference to other points between the two maps. Is there a way to link 2 images with "points" on each and transform one of the two base on the those links?

I have an image that is from a picture of a drawing. It is all one layer. I would like to change certain specific colored pixels in specific areas from their current color to another. I know I can do this for the entire image.
In this case it is text and the current color is black which is present in other parts of the drawing and it is on a background color that is also in other parts of the drawing.
Something like a brush or eraser set so when it passes over an area would change just any black pixels to red might be best for this situation.
A rectangle or free select might work too, but in this case maybe a brush type thing seems like it would be easier.
It sort of sounds like the magic wand tool, but that is different and pretty unpredictable as well.
