Did you add MIDI from Available Controllers to Active Controllers ? Looks like this here:

Yes, I did add the MIDI from Available Controllers to Active Controllers. I haven't found any documentation on if or what to change the name to in the "General" field at the top. It looks as though when changing the value of the "Device" field (3rd field in the "MIDI" section) the software is checking something as the "State" field immediately above the "Device" field changes. But I don't know what to change "Device" to. I've tried the names that appear in my DAW and in MacOS Audio Midi Setup but have not found a reference to the midi device that works.
