Import from CorelDraw a file with its objects
#4
Quote:... I would like to import the file (more exactly its objects) into Gimp, so I could continue using Gimp to modify the logo. But it seems Gimp can't read .cdr files.

There is no such thing in Gimp as an object. Gimp is a raster (bitmap) editor.

You will be better off using Inkscape. Certainly the linux Inkscape version opens (at least some) .cdr vector files (1)

CorelDraw should export as an SVG. Inkscape would open that and so will Gimp.(2)

SVG files imported into Gimp lose their vector properties and become bitmaps, but you do have a choice right at the beginning to set an image size.(3) see: https://i.imgur.com/clKkihS.jpg

Common Gimp formats from ofnuts: https://www.gimp.org/tutorials/ImageFormats/

Lots more than those if you look in the Open/Export dialogs.
