There is always input from the user.

Without seeing all of the tool options.  Try setting the dynamics option to Dynamics OFF

of coarse there is always human input. Thats right but if you really dont know you shouldnt answer questions. Anyone who has used gimp 4 a week knows that shutting dynamics OFF is the first thing you try. If I knew what caused my brush to change sizes I could fix it. So the real question should be. Why or how does this problem occur? It is obviously a stupid setting. Find the cause and the problem will be easy to fix. I find it so frustrating when people answer questions and they know no more or less than I. I should have dedicated my time to Autodesk, Blender, or Adobe.

In the case at hand this is the usual answer to the question about the brush having a random or unexpected behavior, which happens to be a very frequent question... You will note that we are taught later that the number are not so random, and so can then provide a correct answer. A good answer somehow depends on an accurate question(*).

Nice to see that you took the trouble to register here to share your opinion.

(*) Which is also why it is important to register your OS and Gimp version accurately...
