Hi,
just an hour ago I was using a Gimp 2.x version. I updated to gimp 3.0.2 and no image extensions were recognized apart for 4 o5 basic ones.
When I also try to export an image to a specific format file no extensions are provided.
I unistalled g3.0.2 and reinstalled a previous version 3.0 but the same behaviour is shown
I am on Windows 10
What's going on?

| Créer des bords noirs sur fond blanc (Create black borders on a white background) |

Bonjour,
Merci d'avance !
Yes, you should post in English, there are good web translation sites around. - rich

[To begin with, I'm asking my question in French, but perhaps I should have used English].
My question: I'd just like to get back to Photoshop's “Photocopy” function, I've tried with “Filters” / “Edge detection” / “Edge” , but it creates an image with a black background and white lines, whereas I'm looking for an image with a white background and black lines, like a black and white photocopy...
Thanks in advance!

A Gimp newbie here. I searched for previous threads on how to install GMIC for Gimp 3.0 on a Mac, but found none.
I made the following attempt to install GMIC this afternoon. I successfully used MacPorts to install the latest GMIC package on my new Apple silicon MacBook Pro running Sequoia 15.4.1. Gimp did not show GMIC in Filters menu.
I found the gmic_gimp_qt file and moved it to the User/Library/Application Support/Gimp/3.0/Plug-ins folder. Gimp still did not recognize that GMIC was available.
Has anyone installed this plug-in successfully for Gimp 3.0 on a Mac running Sequoia?
Appreciate any and all comments, thanks.

Hi
I’m brand new on this forum and using GIMP as well!
I would like to know if there are any 'automatic' selection tools such as: straight-edged (square/rectangle) or elliptical (circle/oval) with other shapes: stars, hearts, etc.? Maybe by downloading extensions?
Thanks
