Okay, I'm fairly new to GIMP scripts/plug-ins and gimp-forum so I apologize in advance for any blunders I'm prone to make.

Anyway, I have Windows 8, GIMP 2.8.22, GAP, and animstacks all for the purpose of making high quality gifs. Recently I noticed GAP Frame Scale (plug-in-gap-anim-scale or ANIM_SCALE) resizes every frame/layer in a single file, and I'm curious; using GAP's defined parameters or similar code, is it possible to automate other plug-ins to transform every layer? For instance, a script or plug-in for unsharp mask or levels that applies to each layer in the file.

If it's been done before or there's a simpler method of achieving my goal (applying filters and colors to every frame of a gif) then please let me know! I barely know how to read code, but to me it appears achievable to combine GAP's .xcf animation function with filter or color scripts.

I have an image of a clock and the background of the clock is transparent. Im wanting to add a solid background to it without making the whole canvas that solid color (around the clock). Its a pretty intricate clock with lots of little spaces so it would take me forever to fill it with the bucket. I know there has to be an easier way to do this. Please help! I posted a link to something similar im working with.

Simpliest ways to achieve something like this? Leisure Suit Larry 2 & 3 got exactly the stuff that im looking for..
(you know that basic 3 colour bg, with some "sprite" graining, lines and blurring in it that millions of games had at that time..)
and also how to reduce the image quality to make it most EGA-like..

In Gimp 2.8.16 If I am working with an image with an alpha channel, select a certain color or area, click on the Gradient Blend Tool then swipe the tool across the screen at the angle I want, the selected areas ONLY fill with the gradient.

When I do the exact same thing with the exact same image in Gimp 2.10.2 initially it works, but when I click "select none" to clear the selection line the gradient paints into the entire image, overwrites the original image content and the path line remains.

It's infuriating!!! No doubt it's something I am doing wrong so can someone please tell me how to fix this?

I saw that in 1.8 you could "Create" a multi-page PDF, but in this version I do not see this option.

I see that after selecting Export as PDF, it gives you the option to make multiple pages, but only with Layers.

I have a lot of text and images Layers in one XCF, so I don't think I can do this with Layers unless I export each page as a single image, but then I anticipate a drop in quality.

Should I just look for a third-party application that merges PDFs? Or is there a GIMP tool/option I am missing?
(I'm not renting Acrobat just for this purpose... I do not like Adobe and I don't want to give them money)

Yesterday i tried a faceswap on a couple with G'MIC Blend [seamless]. 

They were both in the same image, but one was asian and the other caucasian.

I used Pat David's tutorial for adjusting skintones with Samplepoint and Curves but it was (again) really difficult and time consuming without good results.

So i was wondering (because ofnut's once said that it would be easy to script):

any chance we get a script, please ?

I had a similar problem with another image (the image size was 777 x 777) however, this is much different,

I took a picture of a old metal key i had lying around, and made the background (mostly) transparent (still leaving a shadow) however, i had to scale this down to the appropriate size for my game, but when i did that, it became all pixelated, (and i would like to maintain the same look of the image, despite the size.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

My image has one layer and doesn't have alpha channel. It is a gray-scale image with rgb mode. Do you know why stencil filter is grayed out?

main menu > View > Show Rulers:uncheck
restart GIMP
rulers are again displayed

is this setting supposed to be persistent?
